Our reproduced doors are custom made and hand crafted, getting inspiration from the original antique doors and from the constructive techniques of the great masters of the past.
The process of construction starts with careful selection of the wood, it can be new wood with which we use a specific ageing process or antique wood that we recover from old floors and old ceilings, of which we have a large stock holding.
We proceed joining the boards and following the natural grain of the wood which is assembled by using special slots or turned nails in order to minimize or even completely eliminate the use of glues.
We then apply the locks embellished by hand by our locksmiths, that help us to recreate the feeling and magical atmosphere of the past. Finally, the coating is applied by a brush with natural products. We work hard on the choice of colours, aging and waxing, intervening on the products and perfecting them.
We lacquer the gypsum with natural products restored by us and the adornments are rigorously freehand made.
In regard to handles, we only use products of a high quality brand. Some of these include Anthologia, Enrico Cassina, Bal and Metal Style.
All of the reproduction door models can be made in different versions, with hinges at the wall or with a casing and can be adapted for the mechanism of external sliding doors. The doors can also be personalized in shape, in colour and in finishings, even though we try to maintain the stylistic coherence of the end product.
